Chicago, IL. – April 2, 2019 – The Building Performance Association is being launched at the Building Performance Association National Conference and Trade Show. The new Association has been created to advance the home and building performance industry through advocacy, education, publications, community, and support.
“Building Performance Association, Efficiency First, and Home Energy magazine have come together as a unified organization to become the Building Performance Association. Although all of these organizations have perennially shared a commitment to the same goals and values, becoming the Building Performance Association will allow us to combine our resources, knowledge, and passions to start a new era—and allow us to do more than we ever could as separate organizations.” CEO Keith Aldridge says.
The new Association aims to support home performance contractors, weatherization agencies and training centers, product manufacturers and distributors, program sponsors and implementers, building scientists, and non-profits focused on residential and commercial energy efficiency, including many others who together form the large and diverse network of stakeholders of the building performance industry.
“Together we are better positioned to drive the industry forward; creating better policies, more jobs, a strong, qualified, and diverse workforce, educational opportunities, better wages, and increased demand for excellence in home and building performance. This is the future of the industry and today, at the Association National Home Performance Conference, you are getting a glimpse of that future,” announced the Building Performance Association’s Chair of the Board, Sydney G. Roberts.
The Building Performance Association is a 501 (c) 6 that aims to advance the home and building performance industry by ultimately delivering improved energy efficiency, health, and environmental performance of buildings.
