The Industry For Everyone

Carla Walker-Miller, CEO and Founder of Walker-Miller Energy Services, joins BPA for a conversation around creating opportunities for Black people in the energy efficiency industry.

Earlier this month, Maria Lewis, BPA’s Affiliate and Allied Partnerships Manager, spent some time talking with Carla Walker-Miller, Founder and CEO of Walker-Miller Energy Services and BPA board member. Their conversation spanned topics including Black History Month, business best practices, and inclusivity in the energy efficiency industry as a whole.

Lewis asked Walker-Miller a couple of insightful questions:

  1. How can business owners and people in the energy efficiency industry continue to promote the understanding and celebration of Black history beyond Black History Month?
  2. What are some challenges faced by the Black community in regards to energy efficiency and how can we work towards a solution?

Listen to Walker-Miller’s answers to these questions and more in the video below.
