IREC White Paper: Leveraging Military Veteran Talent Through SkillBridge Training: Recommendations for the Solar Industry
Overview
This resource presents SkillBridge as a key strategy for solar employers to attract, develop, and retain qualified veteran talent, and provides model training frameworks.
Solar Energy International (SEI), in partnership with IREC, has published a white paper, Leveraging Military Veteran Talent Through SkillBridge Training: Recommendations for the Solar Industry. This resource presents SkillBridge as a key strategy for solar employers to attract, develop, and retain qualified veteran talent, and provides model training frameworks aligned with four key occupations, including solar installation, operations and maintenance, technical sales, and solar design.
These four pathways correspond to high-demand early career roles, and the frameworks are tailored to each role’s job duties. Solar employers can implement these 120-day training plan frameworks within their SkillBridge programs and adapt them as their company sees fit, given the company’s workforce needs and preferred delivery methods.
