STEP 3: BPI Building Analyst Professional

The online Building Analyst Professional (BA-P) course is designed to enhance energy efficiency professionals’ skills by providing training in various areas such as work scope development, energy modeling, HVAC systems, best practices, and on-site management.

After completing the course, students can take a 2.5 hour proctored online exam to obtain the BPI Building Analyst Professional certification. 

 Learning Objectives:

  • Develop actionable plans and work scope measures based on documentation gathered during site visits.
  • Identify structural and other deficiencies using collected data.
  • Understand the structural and materials requirements for implementing recommended measures.
  • Perform calculations to determine ventilation requirements, baseload utilities consumption, heat loss, and air leakage.
  • Create accurate models of building energy usage.
  • Prioritize work scope measures based on both gathered and remote data.
  • Prioritize health and safety repairs.
  • Calculate savings resulting from the installation of energy conservation measures.

This course will prepare you to take and pass the BPI Analyst Professional written exam.
