Earn RESNET-approved Professional Development Hours from approved courses offered by RESNET Training Providers. BER offers a variety of online courses to obtain the necessary hours for RESNET recertification.

Certified HERS Rater are certified for a period of 3 years at a time. Within this 3-year period, Raters must meet the professional development requirements for recertification. To meet these requirements, Raters must complete one of the following options:

  • Attendance at a RESNET Building Performance Conference 
  • Earn 18 RESNET-approved Professional Development Hours (PDHs) from approved courses offered by RESNET Training Providers

The most common way for raters to qualify for re-certification is through obtaining 18 hours of professional development training approved by RESNET. BER offers a variety of online courses to obtain the necessary hours.
