Contractor Roundtable: Tucson, AZ
14 March 2024
10 AM - 1 PM
The Governor’s Office of Resiliency invites you to a contractor’s roundtable on Thursday, March 14, 2024, from 10 am to 1 pm at the YWCA of Southern Arizona, 525 N. Bonita Ave., Main Conference
Room, Tucson, AZ 85745.
This roundtable discussion will provide details for the development and implementation of the Homeowners Manage Energy Savings Rebate (HOMES) and the Home Electrification and Appliance Rebate (HEAR) programs. These programs, funded by the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and administered by the U.S. Department of Energy, will assist Arizonans, particularly low and moderate-income Arizonians, in improving the energy efficiency of their residence, reducing indoor and outdoor air pollution and saving money on energy bills. It is expected that HOMES & HEAR will produce an unprecedented amount of work throughout the state and create opportunities for home performance and HVAC contractors to install efficient, clean energy equipment in underserved and underrepresented communities. This roundtable allows you to provide input on streamlining the pre- and post-work processes, making it a successful experience for all parties involved. The session will also solicit feedback from contractors on the overall energy efficiency market in Arizona – including key challenges and opportunities for leveraging federal investments and tax credits – to inform the U.S. Department of Energy on the state of the industry and inform federal support for workforce and energy efficiency programs.
Please RSVP to Ann D’Amico (Adamico@az.gov). For those unable to attend in person, we will have an option for video conferencing which will be provided after you have RSVP’d. If you have any questions about the event or the programs, don’t hesitate to contact Rebates Program Manager Ken Owens, Jr. at 480.489.9386 or KOwens@az.gov.
