The Oregon Building Code Division works with the Construction Industry Energy Board to adopt the Oregon Energy Efficiency Specialty Code (OEESC). The OEESC adoption process starts with the publication of an updated ASHRAE Standard 90.1, Energy Standard for Sites and Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings.

2025 Oregon Energy Efficiency Specialty Code (OEESC)

  • Effective: Jan. 1, 2025 with 6 month phase-in period
  • Mandatory: July 1, 2025
  • Based on ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2022
  • Code update training
