The BPI Multifamily Building Analyst training prepares you to conduct energy audits and prepare work scope recommendations for multifamily residential buildings. You will learn building science concepts as they apply to multifamily housing, as well as practical applications to save energy, improve comfort and increase the multifamily building’s safety and durability.

In the self-paced online course you will learn the principles of air movement and causes of air leaks, how ventilation relates to overall air leakage in a home, and ventilation system requirements. During our 30-minute IDL Field Exam-Prep Video, Dallas Jones demonstrates, step-by-step, how to perform each of the tasks required to successfully pass BPI’s IDL Exam.

As a BPI Healthy Home Evaluator (HHE) you will assesses environmental health and safety hazards in homes and provide recommendations to address those hazards. In this course you will build upon your knowledge as a BPI Building Analyst, Multifamily Building Analyst, HEP Energy Auditor, or HEP Quality Control Inspector (QCI) to add environmental risk assessment to your energy audits.

The course also covers why the diagnostic process is so important, why problems related to the building shell such as moisture, ice dams, mildew and drafts were a problem in the first place – and more importantly, how to resolve them.
