High Performance Business Groups
Your Peers. Your Advantage.
Even the Best Get Better Together.
Contracting businesses face unique challenges, and peer-to-peer collaboration is essential to fostering business success.
That's what High Performance Business Groups (HPBGs), organized by the Building Performance Association (BPA), deliver: members learn from one another, share openly, and hold each other accountable, building stronger businesses and better results for homeowners.
What is a High Performance Business Group (HPBG)?
High Performance Business Groups (HPBGs) are confidential groups of 4-10 non-competing contractors who work together to improve their businesses through structured peer review and onsite business assessments.
Unlike traditional networking groups, the primary value of an HPBG comes from in-person site visits. Participating contractors open their businesses to fellow group members who evaluate operations, conduct interviews, identify opportunities for improvement, and provide candid feedback based on their own experience operating successful Home Performance, HVAC, and insulation businesses.
Topics commonly reviewed include:
- Financial performance and profitability
- Key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Operations and production systems
- Sales processes and customer experience
- Marketing and lead generation
- Employee development and retention
- Quality management and commissioning
- Strategic planning and growth
- Successes and lessons learned
