Energy Efficiency Apprenticeships in Massachusetts
The Building Performance Association (BPA) provides growth opportunities for businesses and job seekers through Registered Apprenticeship Programs.

BPA has launched a Registered Apprenticeship Program in Massachusetts, enabling businesses to recruit new hires and upskill their workforce, while providing industry newcomers with paid jobs and certification opportunities to equip them to succeed in energy efficiency. This program includes a pathway to become an Energy Specialist (energy auditor, energy advisor, energy rater, etc.,) and/or a Weatherization Technician.
What is a Registered Apprenticeship Program?
A Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) is an industry-driven, high-quality career pathway where employers can develop and prepare their future workforce, and individuals can obtain paid work experience and a nationally recognized credential.
RAPs are validated to meet the standards defined by the U.S. Department of Labor and a State Apprenticeship Agency.
