BPA Board of Directors Announces Planned Leadership Transition

June 12, 2026

The Building Performance Association (BPA) Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Francisco as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective October 19, 2026.

Following a planned leadership transition, Francisco’s appointment builds on BPA’s strong foundation and reflects the organization’s continued commitment to supporting its members, strengthening industry partnerships, and responding to the evolving needs of the building performance industry. With more than 30 years of experience in building science research, workforce training, and program design, Francisco brings deep industry expertise and a longstanding commitment to education and workforce development.

The Board of Directors thanks outgoing CEO Steve Skodak for his six years of leadership and dedication to BPA’s mission. His contributions helped guide the organization through important periods of growth and industry advancement.

As BPA looks ahead, Francisco will work with the Board, staff, members, and partners to advance the organization’s mission and strengthen its support for the people and businesses moving the building performance industry forward.

The Board remains committed to BPA’s long-term success and looks forward to this next chapter under Francisco’s leadership.
