BPA State Updates

Pennsylvania – Pennsylvania BPA will host a virtual info session on Friday, June 21st at 8am EST. Contractors are welcome to join us for a round of informative presentations about current and future opportunities for contractors in Pennsylvania, and updates about how you can stay informed. State Industry News

California – On June 14, DOE approved California’s HEAR application, which was submitted on January 12, 2024. The state has yet to submit its HOMES program application. California is targeting public availability for HEAR measures by the end of 2024. View the CEC HEAR webpage.

Indiana – The Indiana Office of Energy Development (OED) is continuing to host a series of public meetings for individuals to learn more and provide valuable input about the design and implementation of Home Energy Rebate Programs. Learn about upcoming meetings.

Maine – The Efficiency Maine Trust has released an overview of its draft three-year strategic plan (Triennial Plan VI) for the period spanning fiscal years 2026, 2027, and 2028. The Trust held a public hearing last week to present this draft plan and answer questions, and will hold another on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Read the full announcement.

Michigan – The Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s Office of Climate and Energy (OCE) and Office of the Environmental Justice Public Advocate (OEJPA) with Elevate Energy’s support are launching a program to support Michigan Justice40 communities with funding, technical assistance, and training to successfully apply for and receive the available funding. Oregon – The Oregon Department of Energy announced at the end of last month that funding for its Rental Home Heat Program is fully reserved and ODOE is no longer accepting applications. The Oregon Legislature allocated an additional $4 million to this program during the 2024 legislative session, and ODOE expects that funding to be available for new reservations in July. Visit ODOE’s website for information about the Community Heat Pump Deployment Program and other incentives.

The National Clean Energy Workforce Alliance will host a webinar on June 20th–How to Recruit Employees and Students: Tools and Strategies in the Clean Energy and Energy Efficiency Fields. Register here.

BPA’s ally, The Midwest Energy Efficiency Alliance (MEEA), will host its annual Energy Codes Conference on September 25-26, 2024. This conference brings together stakeholders from across the Midwest to discuss the advancement of energy codes and building energy policies in the region. Learn more and register.

Keystone Energy Efficiency Alliance (KEEA), and Energy Efficiency Alliance of New Jersey (EEA-NJ)’s Policy Conference will be held September 17-18, 2024, in King of Prussia, PA. This year’s theme is Policy in Action. Learn more and register.
